Abstract

The bryozoan genus Petaloporella Prantl, 1935 was originally described from the Lower Devonian Braník Limestone (Zlíchovian = Lower Emsian) of Braník, the Czech Republic. It belongs to the family Hyphasmoporidae Vine, 1885. The type species Petaloporella bohemica Prantl, 1935 was also recorded from the Lower Devonian (Pragian) of Bohemia and Morocco. The present paper provides an emended diagnosis of the genus and a description of new Petaloporella bohemica material from the Koněprusy Limestone of Zlatý Kůň near Koněprusy, the Czech Republic.
