Bruder, Georg Dr. born 9th May 1856, Innsbruck (Austria), died 10th December 1916, Ústí nad Labem Czech geologist of German extraction. After his university studies in Prague he was assistant professor at the Geological Institute of the German University in Prague in 1882 - 1890. Later he also taught at secondary schools in Žatec and Ústí nad Labem. He studied mainly Jurassic and Cretaceous fossils in northern Bohemia. He established mineralogical and geological collections of the museum in Ústí nad Labem - Trmice. He was corresponding member of the Imperial Geological Institute in Vienna.
