Bílovice Formation - a new lithostratigraphical unit for the Sarmatian in the Moravian part of the Vienna Basin

Abstract

A new lithostratigraphic unit,the Bílovice Formation had been proposed for sediments of the Sarmatian stage in the Moravian part of the Vienna Basin. As the type-sections a locality and the borehole Čej-10 at the vicinity of the village Velké Bílovice (District of Břeclav) had been chosen.
