Abstract

The chemistry of clastic and authigenic minerals of greywackes was studied by microprobe analyses in the set of samples from various areas of the Barrandian Proterozoic. Analyses of grains present both in arenitic fraction and in groundmass have shown that clastic material derived from emerged parts of a volcanic arc dominates and material suplied from a distal active continental margin occurs only in restricted amounts. In addition to primary differences the chemistry of minerals reflects changes caused by regional and contact metamorphism.
