Abstract

Foliage remains from Saberian-age (late Carboniferous-Pennsylvanian) strata of the Central and Western Bohemian basin complex are interpreted as a new species of the putative medullosalean pteridosperm fossil-genus Blazyopteris and is named B. feistmantelii. It is only the second known species of Blanzyopteris frond, the other being B. praedentata. Both species appear to be foliage of lianescent plants.
