Abstract
A new fossil of Ripiphoridae, Derinilipia alekseevi gen. et sp. nov., is reported from mid-Cretaceous Kachin amber of northern Myanmar. Derinilipia is distinctive within the tribe Ripidiini, as it has unfused 4-segmented maxillary palps, contiguous elytra, tibial spurs present on all legs, and pectinate pretarsal claws. The new genus is suggested as a stem-group member of Ripidiini based on a cladistic analysisReferences
