| Andrian - Werburg, Ferdinand Freiherr von born 15th September 1835, Chateau Vornbach u. Inn, died 10th April 1914, Nice (France) Austrian geologist and anthropologist who initiated the founding of the anthropological society in Vienna in 1869. In Bohemia he mapped large part of the Českomoravská vrchovina Highland and the Železné hory Mountains. He was the first to study the crystalline complex of the Bohemian Massif. In Hungary he studied some regions of Slovakia, especially the environs of Banská Štiavnica, Dobšiná, Turčianská kotlina Valley and the Malé Karpaty Mountains (West Carpathians).
