Abstract

In the abandoned mine of magnesite deposit Bankov near Košice an interesting association of Fe-sulfates occur, which originated after oxidation of marcasite. Fe-sulfates are represented mainly by brown 0,5-2 mm sized crystals and light rose powder aggregates of romerite. Yellow aggregates of copiapite and light green aggregates of melanterite occur together with romerite.
