Abstract

The studied terrestrial sequence is situated at the entrance of the Malý Lesík Cave near Březina (north of Brno). It is mid-Weichselian to Holocene in age and reflects the sedimentary processes in plateau environments which are documented by the succession of characteristic molluscan assemblages. The late pleniglacial section is dominated by eolian accumulation and reduced scree formation, whereas the Holocene is characterised by coarse scree and breakdown formed under closed-forest vegetation.
