Abstract

The youngest Upper Proterozoic in the SE part of Prague and surroundings is built by clastic rocks (shales, siltstones and graywackes). Its alterations lead to change into heavy clay by the moderate humid climate. At present, the fossil weathering red products of subtropical climate with hematite are described from Říčany and Kolovraty towns. The weathering is more than 100 Ma old, because red beds are covered with Upper Cretaceous sediments (Cenomanian).
