Abstract

A new locality of the Berounian Stage from the Libeň Formation facies of the Řevnice Quartzites, Rokycanská Čílina Hill - Sloupy, is described. It is situated 1750 m west of Rokycany town, near the top of the Čílina Hill 523,4 m, about 150 m south of a new TV transmitter. The locality is remarkable by a mass occurrence of brachiopods of the genera Drabovia, Drabovinella, hirnantia, Cilinella, rarely also Bicuspina?, Gelidorthis and Onniella. Dominant brachiopods prevail over the other acompanying fauna such as Trilobita, Gastropoda, Conularida, Echinodermata, Bryozoa, Ostracoda.
