Abstract

Fossiliferous Sarmatian and Pannonian (Late Miocene) sediments were described from the northeastern rim of the Vienna Basin in the environs of town Strážnice (moravia). The microfauna of foraminifers and brackish mollusks were studied from shallow water facies of Sarmatian sea and molluscan fauna from the Pannonian lake.
