Abstract

The limestones of Ludlow-Přídolí boundary interval at localities Kosov near Beroun and Mramorový lom near Praha-Lochkov are described in this paper from the microfacial point of view. The upper Ludlow (Kopanina Formation) is developed as shallow water limestones of crinoidal growth, which originate at the margin and slopes of a carbonate platform. the lower Přídolí (Přídolí Formation) is developed as deep water limestones of deeper shelf.
