Abstract
In the dark calcareous marls on the base of the socalled Main Brown Coal Seam of locality Ahníkov II (Nástup Tušimice Pit) were found and figured 13 species of snails - Lymnaea dilatata (Noulet),?Galba sp., Acme limbata Reuss, Strobilus cf. elasmodonta Reuss, Helix osculum Thomae, Klikia devexa (Reuss), Gyraulus applanatus (Thomae), Planorbarius cornu (Brongniart), Carychiopsis costulata var. Schwageri Reuss, ?Clausilia sp., Nystia (Staadtiellopsis) rubeschi (Klika), Pupa (Coryna) sp. and one freshwater bivalve Sphaerium pseudocorneum (Reuss). There are discussed abundance and diversity of mollusc fauna in geological profile so-called nystia horizon and its paleoecological and taphonomical interpretations.
