Abstract

A revision of scaphopods recorded from the Upper Cenomanian - Middle Coniacian sediments of the Bohemian Cretaceous Basin has been completed. In literature, first records of these molluscs appeared in early 1840's. Since that time, the researchers have used (in most cases) incorrect nomenclature. Also Bohemian Cretaceous scaphopods diversity is lower than formerly supposed - only six species (belonging to genera Dentalium) instead of nine mentioned are valid.
