Abstract

The Lipno granite body forms the most eastern part of the Šumava Mts. branch of the Moldanubian (South Bohemian) batholith. Within this granite body medium grained two-mica granites of the Eisgarn type occur, together with biotite granites of the Weinsberg type. Two-mica granites are peraluminous, alkali-feldspar granites to monzogranites with significantly higher content of thorium (30-54 ppm), rubidium (300-390 ppm) and low content of anorthite component in plagioclase (An02-23).
