Morphology and morphometry of debris flows in the Moravskoslezské Beskydy Mts.

Abstract

There is quite big occurrence of debris flows in the Moravskoslezské Beskydy Mts. According to terrain research we can distinguish a few types of their triggering, transport and accumulation zones. Morphometric parameters of these zones were quantified and statistically evaluated. inventory results of these morphometric parameters are main content of this paper. After that we can say, debris flows in the Moravskoslezské Beskydy Mts. are evidently comparable with flows in other surrounding more morphometrically exposed mountain ranges (e. g. the Tatry Mts., the Krkonoše Mts.).
