Abstract

The main parameters controlling the radon risk classification of building site and subsequently one of the factors affecting the resulting indoor radon concentrations are the volume radon concentrations and the permeability of soil and rock for gases. We have counted the mean values of the permeability, soil gas and indoor radon concentrations for the main rock types of the Czech Republic to examine the influence of the permeability on the resulting radon concentrations.
