Abstract

Cretaceous sediments in the surroundings of Český Brod (Central Bohemia) belong to Peruc Member, Korycany member, Bílá hora Formation and Jizera Formation of teh Bohemian Cretaceous Basin. According to lithofacies division, these sediments correspond to the Vltava-Beroun, Labe, and Kolín development of the Bohemian Cretaceous. The Kouřim-fault and Kounice-fault are of great importance among the main fracture lines.
