CO2 Capture and Storage – Response to Climate Change
3 - 4 March 2009, Bratislava
2nd CO2NET EAST regional awareness raising workshop on CO2 capture and storage (CCS) will be focused on stakeholders from Central & Eastern European countries. It will be organised by the State Geological Institute of Dionýz Štúr, Bratislava.
Main topics will cover:
Introduction to the CCS concept
European CCS policy and driving forces
CO2 capture - research, pilot and demonstration projects
CO2 storage - running and prepared projects and research topics
Risk assessment and safety issues
Public acceptance
Presentations of CO2 capture & storage experts from leading European R&D institutions and industrial companies will help to initialize discussions on the themes mentioned above.
