Abstract

Stable carbon isotopes were studied at the Devonian-Carboniferous boundary interval in the southern part of the Moravian Karst (Lesní lom and Krtiny sections). Peak of the 813Ccarb values (~4 %o) in the latest Famennian (middle part of the Siphonodella praesulcata conodont Zone) from the Lesní lom section is correlated with similar peaks from other sections all over the world and could be connected with the anoxic phase during the Hangenberg event.
