Abstract

New equipment for measurements of the consumption of water during the water pressure tests was developed. The equipment is based on a weighting of water loss in the pressure vessel with a precision of one gram. This method enables to perform the water pressure tests in drill sections without macrofissures with extremely low hydraulic conductivity and to obtain reliable values of hydraulic conductivity of the rock matrix in situ. Hydraulic conductivity of rock matrix was studied on five granitic bodies of the Bohemian massif in the Czech Republic. The range of the measured values of the coefficient of hydraulic conductivity was from 7,0.10 13 to 1,7.10 9 m.s 1 with mean values ranging from 10 11 to10 12 m.s 1.
