The hydrogeological role of teschenites in Paleogene sediments of Flysch Belt of West Carpathians in Morava region
AbstractIn Paleogene sediments of the Flysch Belt of West Carpathians in Morava volcanic and volcanoclastic rocks of teschenite association appear. In contrast to sedimentary rocks which represent a porous or fissure-porous rock medium, teschenites have exclusively fissure permeability. In some areas they are a relatively favorable medium for groundwater, particularly as infiltration zones.
