Abstract
Jelenia Góra-Cieplice geothermal region shows a high potential for geothermal energy within the the eastern part of the Krkonoše-Jizera granite massif. Another geothermal field can be expected in the Liberec basin in western section of the same granite massif, where shallow carbonated mineral water source with increased temperature (Vratislavice spring of 13.5 °C) is located in the similar geological and tectonic environment.
