Abstract
The church of St. Ann, built in 1704-1710, was adapted as a tomb of the Dietrichštejn family. Permian arkoses, arkosic sandstones and conglomerates were quarried and transported on a distance of 40-50 km from Moravský Krumlov and Hrubšice near Ivančice. Skeletal limestone used for statues on the church attica was quarried probably near Zogelsdorf-Eggenburg. The rock stability depends mainly on the structure, residual strain, but also on its placement in the masonry.
