Abstract

A part of conserved Gravettian site was discovered during the probing field work in the late 2005. The archaeological and faunal remains were collected from geliflucted colluvial loams below the pleniglacial loess. A rather abundant faunal assemblage incl. mammoth, woolly rhinoceros, horse, reindeer and wolf was discovered. The mammoth remains originated from at least three individuals (2 years old, 5-10 years old and adult ones). The bones' composition shows on the bone deposit or more probable on the central part of the site, where the best pieces of animals (trunk, shoulder, rump) were placed. The faunal assemblage is rather cold-loving, which is also supported by the radiocarbon date, which is younger than the Moravian Evolved Pavlovian indicating later phase of the settlement.
