Abstract

Denudation relics of the Cretaceous Peruc-Korycany and Bílá hora Formations deposited on Carboniferous Kladno Formation represent the southwestern rim of the Bohemian Cretaceous Basin. The basal Cenomanian predominantly sandy but very varied sediments of rivers, lagoons and tidal flats were substituted by a monotonous Turonian marine marly sequence. All the overlying younger Cretaceous deposits, representing major part of the complete basin fill have been removed by later denudation.
