Abstract

A review of the field investigations made in the frame of the "Nové spojení" line building is presented. Strongly tectonically affected succession of the Middle and Upper Ordovician Šárka to Bohdalec Formations (Darriwilian to upper Caradocian) were studied in the two newly build subparallel railway tunnels and in the series of the (sub)surface temporary outcrops, in the wider neighbourhood of the Vítkov hill (central Prague). A short interpretation of the tectonics, palaeoenvironment and ichnofabric is presented.
