Abstract

The contact between Bohemian Massif and Western Carpathians in Northern Moravia is a very conspicuous morphological structure. It is located within a plain of Moravian Gate that is surrounded to NW with the Upland of Nízký Jeseník and to SE with Beskydy Hills. The area between Hrabůvka and Střítež nad Ludinou was chosen to construct 3D model of basement relief under Quaternary and Miocene sediments. Data from borehole database and from geophysical database (vertical electric sounding and seismic reflection survey) were evaluated for this purpose. The resulting model is in good accord with gravity data and geological interpretation of the seismic reflection profile 1P/83.
