Abstract

Deep faults had an important part in the development of the Central Bohemian Region (Bohemicum). The deep fractures, most of them existing as early as in the Neoproterozoic, controlled the rifting, facies development, volcanism an tectonic processes from the Neoproterozoic through the Cadomian tectogenesis and Cambrian-Devonian basin development to the Variscan tectogenesis.
