Abstract

This study is focused on hydrogeology of metamorphosed carbonates of the Branná group in the Jeseníky Mts. Springs, sinkholes and sinking streams were located in the area. Flow geometry was determined by stream hydrometry and tracer tests. Recently GIS and vulnerability map is being prepared. Carbonate aquifers represent an important water source in a region with generally limited groundwater abstraction possibilities.
