CFCs, SF6 and tritium were used to estimate the proportion of recent water in supply wells in two areas of Bohemian Cretaceous Basin in connection with higher content of nitrates. Wells contaminated by nitrates showed considerably higher proportion of recent waters (compared to those with low nitrate content).
