Abstract

Stone fragments of Gothic sculptures discovered in archaeological ditches in the area of the Kladruby Monastery (Western Bohemia) were identified as Turonian marly silicites. High-pressure mercury porosimetry and chemical analyses recalculated into „normative minerals revealed that these represent Prague "golden" opuka, which was used in Parléř's workshops.
