Abstract

The foraminiferal assemblages from the Nussensee locality in Austria were studied in the frame of the bilateral cooperation between Czech and Austrian Geological Surveys. The Upper Coniacian to Santonian foraminiferal assemblages from samples Nsl, Ns2 and Ns4 are assigned to planktonic Dicarinella concavata Zone only on the basis of general character of assemblage. The important zonational marks for planktonic zone Dicarinella asymetrica (sensu Robaszynski - Caron 1995) were found in other three samples Ns3, Ns5, Ns6, where Dicarinella asymetrica (Sigal) and D. concavata (Brotzen) were present. The shallow-water marine conditions during Upper Coniacian to the outer neritic ones during Santonian marine realm are characteristic for the foraminiferal palaeoenvironment.
