Abstract

Two occurrences of topaz quartzolite are located along the north trending fault zone north of Chrastava township in Northern Bohemia. The rock reminding greisen consists of 65 % quartz, 32 % topaz, 2 % mica and accessory alkali feldspar, ilmenorutile and opaque ore. Dyke-like bodies of topaz quartzolite are indicators of high-temperature W-Sn mineralization of the greisen type which has been up to now dominant in Saxothuringicum (Krušné hory Mts.) only.
