Abstract

Trace fossils Taenidium isp., Macaronichnus isp., Thalassinoides isp. and ?Trichichnus isp. from the quarry SSE of Merklovice near Vamberk (Czech Republic) have been found in compact, fine-grained quartzose sandstone with the high volume of glauconite. The rocks belong to the Upper Cenomanian Korycany Member of the Peruc-Korycany Formation. Trace fossils association gives evidence for a high-energy shallow water environment with limited influx of sediment.
