Abstract

The locality of Dolnice is situated in the North Bohemian rift depression, in its western part - the Cheb Basin. In the greenish calcareous marls and clayey silts of marginal parts of the Basin fauna has been detected. The rodent fauna gives evidence of its age - the Lower Miocene - Paratethys stage Ottnang, Mammal age Middle Orleanian, Biozone MN4. The flora suggests rather inconstant, wet climate of the warmest phase of the Lower Miocene. Two individuals of the beavers have been discovered on the locality.
