Abstract

Quaternary organic sediments in the Protected Landscape Area Žďárské vrchy are represented by peat-bogs sediments. Pollen analyses from profiles in this area were studied by Rudolph (1927), Salaschek (1935), Puchmajerová (1943), Kneblová-Vodičková (1961,1966,1970), and Břízová (2003, atlocalities: Zlatá louka, Karlštejn, Pustá Rybná, Krejcar, Herálec). The organic sediments on the map sheets are and will be the subject of palynological investigation. Three samples of the localities (Karlštejn, Krejcar, Pustá Rybná) were radiocarbon-dated (see table 1; Gd: Radiocarbon Laboratory Silesian Technical University, Gliwice, Poland).
