Abstract

Coarse-grained conglomerates of uncertain age infill the unconformities in gneiss basement near Oparno (Northern Bohemia). They were documented and redescribed during current geological mapping. The Cretaceous marine origin of these deposits belonging to the surf-zone seems to be probable.
