Abstract

The Moravicum, compressed between the Moldanubicum and Brunovistulicum, has been overthrusted and broken into blocks by transverse fractures. Each of these blocks suffered different intensity of tectonic reduction which was caused mainly by the compression movements of predominating southeastern direction. This tectonic reduction affected different levels of the rock sequence, and each block independently on the neighbouring ones.
