Abstract

Together 495 plant remains were determined in tne deposits surrounding the lst and 2nd coal seams of the Rosice-Oslavany Group of coals and the Zbýšov Horizon of the Boskovice Furrow. Hygrophilous, mainly pecopterid flora with Pecopteris cyathea, P. densifolia and P. lepidorachis has been located in the roof of the 2nd coal seam and in the surroundings of the lower benches of the 1st (uppermost) coal seam. Pteridosperms with the species Mixoneura osmundaeformis dominate in the roof of the upper bench of the 1st coal seam. Zbýšov Horizon gave only single determinable twig of Walchia piniformis. The Rosice-Oslavany Group of coals belongs to the Upper Stephanian, whereas the Zbýšov Horizon belongs to the Lower Permian.
