Abstract

The western part of Chloumek Ridge built by Cretaceous sediments was investigated regarding slope deformations in the years 2001 and 2002. While the lower and central parts of the slope were built by claystones and siltstones, the upper parts reveal irregular sandstone intercalations. Due to such favourable conditions the ridge slopes are intensively deformed by old and recent slope movements. Engineering-geological maps of stability conditions were prepared, as well as landslide susceptibility maps at a scale of l : 10 000.
