Abstract

Quaternary sediments in the Protected Landscape Area Žďárské vrchy are represented by peat-bogs sediments. Pollen analyses from several profiles in this area were studied RUDOLPH (1927), SALASCHEK (1935), PUCHMAJEROVÁ (1943), KNÉBLOVÁ-VODIČKOVÁ (1961, 1966, 1970) and now Břízová (Zlatá louka, Karlštejn, Pustá Rybná, Krejcar). The organic sediments on the map sheets 13-443 Chotěboř, 13-444 Hlinsko, 14-333 Svratka, 14-334 Polička, 23-221 Ždírec nad Doubravou, 23-222 Krucemburk, 23-223 Přibyslav, 23-224 Žďár nad Sázavou, 23-242 Radostín, 24-111 Křižánky, 24-112 Jedlová, 24-113 Nové Město na Moravě, 24-114 Dalečín, 24-131 Bobrov will be the subject of palynological investigation. Several samples of the localities will be radiocarbon-dated (Gd: Radiocarbon Laboratory Silesian Technical University, Gliwice, Poland).
