Abstract

A complete rock sequence filling the Bohemian Cretaceous Basin was preserved in the surroundings of Litoměřice on the right bank of Labe River. The Peruc-Korycany, Bílá hora, Jizera, Teplice and Březno formations including Rohatce member as well Merboltice formation were verified during actual geological mapping. These sediments belong mostly to the Ohře facies development. Thickness of the Cretaceous sedimentary complex reaches 700 metres. The trend of the main fault structures, including the boundary fault of České středohoří Mts., runs generaly from ENE to WSW.
