Abstract

We have expected an occurrence of basal Cretaceous sediments in a valley between Libodřice and Kocanda basing on ground water chemical composition and archive study. Two shallow boreholes were drilled in this valley. The first one proved Cretaceous shallow marine bioclastic deposits bellow Quaternary loess. The second one revealed deposits basalt Cretaceous deposits below Quaternary colluvial, eolian and polygenetic deposits 8 m thick.
