Abstract
A new genus and species of Cretaceous oyster, Pycnogyra sulcata gen. et sp. n., is described from the Lower Turonian of Bohemian Cretaceous Basin. The new genus distinguishes itself from all other genera of grypheoidal oysters by deep radial posterior sulcus and well-detached posterior flange.
