Abstract

Ten specimens of Palaeostachya (Huttonia) spicata from Vranovice, Chomle, Svinná and Břasy localities of the Radnice Basin were studied. The stratigraphical position of the cones is the Whetstone Horizon, Radnice Group of coal seams, Radnice Member, Lower Bolsovian. Genera Huttonia and Palaeostachya could by synonymised based on the same character of cellar-like projections of the sterile bracts. Gen. Huttonia has priority but gen. Palaeostachya is more common and abundant genus with number of species.
