Abstract
A "solid" exposed map of Carboniferous rocks (Bolsovian - Stephanian C) on the south of the Plzeň basin shows the maximum subsidence and maximum thickness of sediments in to centres of structural low of NNE-SSW direction. The structural low is dislocated by faults forming a system of transverse (with respect to the basin axis) graben and horst structures.
