Abstract

The area between towns Hodonín and Tvrdonice was mapped during the geological mapping of the Czech area of the map sheets. The mapped region is a part of Dolnomoravský Graben and belongs to the following geomorphological units: Dyjsko-moravská Highland and Dyjsko-moravská Floodplain. Pannonian sediments represented by Bzenec, Dubňany and Gbely Formations together with Quaternary sediments take part in its geological structure.
