New information on the ichnofabric of thick-bedded quartzose sandstones of the Bohemian Cretaceous Basin (Czech Republic)

Abstract
Bedding planes of thick-bedded quartzose sandstones of the Bohemian Cretaceous basin are rarely observed, though numerous (both artifiacial and natural exposures) exist. Exceptional possibility to study sedimentary structures of the bedding planes provided a pseudokarst cave in the Český ráj area, building stones from the area of east Bohemia, and historic underground objects in Prague. The spectrum of observed ichnofossils includes Cruziana problematica, Selenichnites isp., Gordia isp., Planolites isp., Helmonthopsis isp., Thalassionoides isp., Piscichnus isp. a.o..
